Schools for children with autism and developmental disabilities

There is a great need for educational support for autism and other developmental disorders. On average, 1 child in 100 is born with one of these disorders, i.e. approximately 1,600 per year in the Lille metropolitan area, for 50 places in structures with specific ABA support.

The association Le Coeur bleu welcomes, part-time, 9 children in a school in Roubaix, to enable them to socialise, learn and hope for a real schooling. Of the 9, only two were in school, today they have 8. The team is entirely voluntary, and includes 2 ABA-trained psychologists. The association organises numerous events (races, sales, shows, etc.) to find funding and is working with the public authorities to gain recognition and funding.

The Fond'actions ÏDKIDS and an Okaïdi employee have therefore decided to support the project, both financially and as a volunteer, to help it in its sustainability and development.
