Private sales to help disadvantaged families and finance associations

The concept

Most brands have unsold items, particularly in textiles. Private sales allow a good use of these surpluses, an access for families in difficulty to new products at very low prices and a new way of financing for associations.

The action

The Fond'actions We Act For Kids organised the first one in partnership with Emmaüs Solidarité in Paris in early 2020. The day enabled families supported by the association to buy new Okaïdi and Obaïbi clothes and Oxybul éveil et jeux games at around 20% of the usual price. Around sixty volunteers came together to make this day a celebration and offer activities to the children.

The impact

9000€ of the result was donated to Emmaüs Solidarité and Ensemble pour l'Education de la Petite Enfance, a partner association of the Endowment Fund.

500 underprivileged families had access to new clothes and games for as little as €2.

65 volunteers from different backgrounds for a day of mutual aid and sharing.
